Artist's Comments

I quick warning that some people may find this series disturbing and may not want to view them.

I fed Sas today and she was exceedingly good in letting me get right in her face with my mum's little digi-cam.

She's giving me her, "What you lookin' at punk?" look.

To Lee: She's been really really un-photogenic of late, least ways when it comes to snapping all of her and not just portraits. seems the only time she's curled up enough for me to fit all of her in the shot is when she's wrapped tightly around me hand and no one is around to photograph her.
She's getting soooo good though. I held her today and the only tim she tried to bite me was when i went to put her away. And she let me take these photos while she was eating, and pat her head too!

not really her fault. she was a troublesome eater when she was a bub and her first owner (i'm her 3rd) used to bully her the mouse to try and get her to eat it. when my friend Lee bought her he thought she was just a snappy baby (little carpet pythons are often snappy) but she never calmed down and was terrified of everything.
He gave her to me because i have more time to handle her and tame her than him, and she's coming along really well. Still constricts my hand, but hasn't even tried to bite me in months.

My little Macklot's is pretty nippy right now too, he thinks everything that waves in his face is a potential meal, but I reckon' he'll be over that in a month or so...After he's knawed my hand completely off! Luckily his bite isn't too bad since he's small LOL!
